Say hello to my lil' friends...

No not them...

But this lil' guy...
a new nightlight for your strange delight!
I love utilizing vintage lamp parts for the lights,
it's adorable with it's two headlights beaming bright...uhum!

I just have to add this adorable baby given to me by my
bestest friend Cathie...you're the bomb sista!!!
This one stays in my collection...
although, maybe wiring will be added in the future.

You know, what would this world be without a little strange...
BORRRRRRING!!!

Be daring...

I love to think out of the box...how 'bout you...

This is an old dresser that had plenty of charm, but...
it wasn't selling, soooo...
cut it down and make a bench out of it!

Painting it black was a way of hiding the drill holes from
making it secure . I purposely have not put the poly
finish on it, 'cause it looks more primitive/rustic...

The back is painted too so it can sit away from the wall if need be...
sweet huh!

Can we talk...

You know all that junk you got sittin' around the yard...
start puttin' it to use.

As the sedum starts to droop, put the cut stems in an old mop bucket,
the colors will stay when dried, the pink and rust hues
will last all winter when dried, the leaves will fall off and
the moisture will be consumed by your dry house
during the winter months.

I love wind chimes of all kinds...
I attached assorted cast away iron
on to an old ice saw, the clunk of a cow bell type sound
can now be heard around the yard...
here come the cows!!!

I love old sewing machines, but finding a use for the heavy beasts
is a burden. The old oak cabinets just don't go with today's
antiquing style, but tear it apart and you can find
lots of uses for the parts.

Use your noodle, look at a piece before you discard,
then save it for our first Spring flea market at
the Junk Revival...!

Been a ponderin'...

well, you know me by now,
the brain machine that never sleeps...
I'm working on designs for t-shirts.
as luck would have it, we have a silk screen shop
right next door to the Candle Shed...
how lucky is that!!!
he never works on Saturdays,
but was in this Saturday...
hmmmmm...

Got some fun ideas for t's...
BE AFRAID!!!

remember...what goes around, comes around...

Just gittin' started...

Well, I been thinkin'(scary)...

OK, here's the deal...
I have 6 acres of prairie scrub,
I now have my lil' shop on the prairie...
so the next phase is a
flea market for artisans and junkers.
You know...US...
the crazy peeps that build stuff
and sell stuff and create stuff.

I'm thinking maybe 3 shows in May, July and Oct...
or maybe even once a month,
of course that will probably change due
to other events, but it's a start!

I know there are lots of 'junker slash artisans'
that would love to sell their wares in a different location...
and why not.
So this is what the 'Junk Revival' is all about,
friends and trash...
gimme yer thoughts!

I know, I know...she's qwazy!!!
